Your Support Enriches Lives
Cal Phil’s promise
The CalPhil Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community benefit organization, was founded to support the California Philharmonic. The Foundation’s mission is “to bring excellent and professional performances of great music to the widest possible audience.” Donors like you help bring this mission to fruition.
Attending a California Philharmonic concert is an extraordinary experience. Whether intimate indoor chamber music concerts or grand outdoor orchestra concerts, Maestro Victor Vener leads us on a journey to delight our senses.
Excellent music and community outreach
People of all ages and with all levels of musical exposure benefit from progressive programs, such as:
- Cal Phil Family Night—a free interactive concert featuring instrument demonstrations and other stimulating educational activities
Enhancing music appreciation.
Cal Phil is committed to making symphonic music more accessible. Everyone leaves a Cal Phil concert with a little more knowledge due to Dr. Vener’s ability to relate musical ideas, recount historical facts and entertain us with little known stories about the lives of the composers. From friendly pre-concert talks to fascinating comments between pieces, this distinctive approach to presenting music illuminates and enriches the listening experience.
The California Philharmonic is unique among Southern California’s symphonic ensembles because it combines music of the highest caliber—played by world-renowned musicians—with innovative programming and breathtaking venues. Only Cal Phil offers the opportunity to sit under a canopy of summer stars in a tree-lined meadow, marvel at both the architecture and acoustics of world-class concert halls or sip cocktails while enjoying beautiful music.
Entertainment, enlightenment, education and excitement. When all four of these California Philharmonic elements come together, something extraordinary happens: all of our lives are enriched—one note at a time.
As you can see, your participation is essential. We invite you to be a part of the equation.
