Volunteer Services
California Philharmonic seeks a self-motivated individual to recruit and organize all volunteers required for its summer concert series, Festival on the Green, at the Los Angeles County Arboretum. CalPhil employs 300-400 adult and high school volunteers to support orchestra staff in set up, production and breakdown of its summer concert venue. Job duties include recruiting at local high schools, contacting and scheduling specific jobs, and tracking hours worked by each volunteer. Job begins immediately and ends August 31. Salary is commensurate upon candidate's background and experience, approximately 40 hours per week, some weekends and evenings required, and some flexibility in daily schedule. Must be able to work outside in a hot and humid botanical environment for concert set up and breakdown. Knowledge of music although helpful, is not required.
