From the Highlands to the Beach
Meet Cabar Feidh Highland Pipe and Drum Band

Wearing the Fraser tartan, the Cabar Feidh Pipe Band, led by Pipe Major Alan Weidlich and Drum Sergeant John Davis is a professional music organization with vast experience in the music industry.  Formed in 1976, Cabar Feidh has been an award-winning band throughout its history. Members have appeared in such feature films as The Onion Field and have performed for the soundtracks of L. A. Story and The Fugitive. The band has made recordings with Joan Baez, Kansas and the Bay City Rollers and has performed in concert with the Glendale Symphony, the Garden Grove Symphony Orchestra and Rod Stewart.
In addition to competing at Highland Games and Festivals, the Cabar Feidh Pipe Band is active in producing concerts to further promote public knowledge and awareness of Celtic music.  The band has featured and performed with Eric Rigler and Bad Haggis in An Evening in the Highlands and Bagpipes at the Beach.  The Road to the Isles concert, a musical drama written by Pipe Major Alan Weidlich and Drum Sergeant John Davis, showcased the talents of the Browne Sisters, Golden Bough, and Silent Planet.  Their CD releases include Out of the Glen and Across the Water.
